A cold hammer forged, chrome-lined 10.3" barrel with a 1:7 twist runs on a carbine-length gas system through Geissele's Super Compact Gas Block, tuned specifically to keep this shorter barrel cycling smoothly instead of running hot and erratic like a lot of compact builds do. This Geissele Super Duty 10.3 configuration carries the same Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group found across the Super Duty family — Nanoweapon-coated, gas key properly staked and torqued, with a Stressproof Bolt machined from Carpenter 158+ barstock for better fatigue resistance than standard bolt steel.

The two-stage SSA-E X® trigger with Lightning Bow® splits the difference between a classic M4 trigger and a flat-bow design, giving a light takeup and a crisp break that doesn't feel twitchy. A 9.3" MK16 rail mated tightly to the upper receiver eliminates rail rotation, leaving plenty of room for optics, lights, and night vision without crowding the hand.
