Each of the nut-and-bolt combinations provides a clamping force of 1,400 pounds, which is far more than a lever mount can manage. To ensure the best possible fit and return to zero, the mount is milled from a single piece of high-strength 7075-T6 aluminum.

That single-piece construction allows Geissele to add ribs and pockets throughout for enhanced strength and rigidity, and it lets them line-bore the caps to each other before serializing them to the body.
