This Aimpoint CompM4 Mount is machined from a single billet of 7075-T6 aluminum and attaches through Geissele's updated nut-and-bolt method rather than a quick-detach lever, generating roughly 1,400 pounds of clamping force through 3 shear lugs. On an optic this size and weight, that fixed mounting approach matters even more than it does on a smaller Micro dot - more mass means more leverage working against the mount under recoil, and a loose fit shows up as inconsistency faster.

Centerline height comes in at 1.54" from the top of the Picatinny rail, positioning the CompM4 at a height most shooters find works for a standard cheek weld without needing a riser. Type III hardcoat anodized black is the finish here, with the same mount also offered in Geissele's proprietary DDC.
