Geissele Super Precision High-Power 30mm 1.350" Scope Mount Black 05-494B was engineered for a specific rule change. The Civilian Marksmanship Program recently changed the Service Rifle Rules to allow optic sights. When shooting from position and slung into the rifle, traditional scope mounts sit too high for a good cheek weld and don't allow the scope to move forward for correct eye relief.

This Geissele Super Precision Scope Mount was designed with an ultra-forward scope position and a 1.350" height above the Picatinny rail. That height allows scopes such as the Nightforce Comp SR 4x24 to be used effectively. Machined from a single piece of 7075-T6 aluminum, the mounting surface spans 5 Picatinny sections and uses 4 shear lugs.

This Geissele 30mm scope mount uses Geissele's update of the classic nut-and-bolt method for clamping to the Picatinny rail. That's the most secure and repeatable way to attach a scope to a weapon. For shooting outside NM competition, the strong cheek weld this Geissele scope mount provides works well with normal eye relief, and its forward positioning still functions for general use.
