The Zoom ZH50 V2 Handheld Thermal Imager is a must have addition to any hardcore hog or predator hunter. It comes equipped with iRay USA’s own Dual FOV Technology which gives the user the ability to seamlessly transition between a wide field-of-view and a narrow field-of-view. This provides the benefits of a 25mm lens for target detection a 2x base magnification and a 50mm lens for target identification and a 4x base magnification. Because Dual FOV Technology uses true optical zoom before any digital zoom, the Zoom ZH50 V2 maintains 100% of its native resolution. Switching between the two FOV’s is done by twisting the focusing ring and image quality is maintained without refocusing. To ensure excellent image quality across either of the dual FOV’s, the Zoom ZH50 V2 is outfitted with uncooled vox 12um 640×512 high-resolution sensor with <25mK sensitivity. This allows the Zoom ZH50 V2 to pick up a man-sized heat signature from up to 2600 yards away, a hog sized heat signature from 1071 yards away, and a coyote sized heat signature from 612 yards away. Heat signatures are projected onto a 1440x1080 AMOLED display, and are viewable in 5 color palettes: white hot, black hot, red hot, color, and hot target highlight. Image quality can be enhanced with the ZH50 V2’s Ultra Clear Mode even in heavy fog or rain. Other features include photo and video capabilities, and a standby mode to preserve battery life when not in use.
