Pulsar’s Merger LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars combines the classic design of daytime binoculars with advanced thermal imaging technology. The familiar profile of daytime binoculars provides outstanding ergonomics for user comfort during extended periods of observation, and easy to use controls offer intuitive operation. The core of the Merger LRF XP50 is a high-sensitivity 640x480 sensor with <25mK NETD, capable of detecting the smallest differences in temperature even in environments where thermal contrast is poor such as in fog, rain, and other adverse weather. The sensor’s thermal capabilities are enhanced even further thanks to a F50/1.0 germanium fast aperture lens. The combination of a high-powered sensor and advanced lens allows the Merger LRF XP50 to detect heat signatures up to 1800 meters away, and projects them onto a high-definition AMOLED display for positive target identification. Heat signatures are viewable in 8 different color palettes, allowing the user to select the best option for the given situation.
In addition to its potent thermal imaging capabilities, the Merger LRF XP50 is outfitted with a wide array of other features. An integrated precision laser rangefinder provides accurate measurements over 1000 yards away, and continuous scanning modes with tremendous accuracy provide quick and error-free target distance assessment. The Merger also comes standard with built-in video and photo recording capabilities and 16 GB of free space. The Merger’s improved Wi-Fi connectivity with 2.4/5 GHZ waveband support yields seamless connection to the Stream Vision 2 app, available for both Android and iOS devices.
