The dual-illuminated system uses fiber optics and tritium to keep the red crosshair reticle lit without batteries in any lighting condition, a battery-free illumination that field operators have trusted for decades of hard operational use.
The ACOG scope TA31-D-100553 RMR mounted on top of the ACOG gives the shooter fast, both-eyes-open close-quarters target acquisition using the ACOG mount integrated RMR sight when the distance closes, and the 4x magnification becomes a liability rather than an advantage.
