The Trijicon ACOG TA31 TA31-D-100581 unique reticle pattern was designed to the exact specifications of the United States Marine Corps - providing quick target acquisition at close combat ranges through the fast instinctive horseshoe dot BAC sight picture while delivering enhanced target identification and hit probability out to 1,000 meters through the calibrated Bullet Drop Compensator. The both-eyes-open BAC design keeps the operator's full situational awareness intact during active engagements - the critical operational capability that the USMC specifically required from the RCO platform.
The ACOG RCO TA31-D-100581 dual illumination system uses fiber optics to automatically adjust reticle brightness in daylight based on ambient lighting conditions, and tritium illumination illuminates the aiming point in total darkness, with no batteries required. The always-on, battery-free illumination keeps the horseshoe dot reticle consistently lit in any lighting condition, from first light through complete darkness, without any preparation or activation.
The Trijicon 4x32 ACOG TA31-D-100581 external windage and elevation adjusters require no tools and maintain waterproof integrity to 11 meters without caps - practical, field-serviceable adjustments available in demanding operational conditions.
