The Colt M4 Midlength Carbine Rifle is a semi-automatic, direct gas impingement rifle chambered in 5.56mm NATO, uniquely engineered as the only model in Colt's core lineup to feature a smooth-cycling, mid-length gas system. This modern sporting rifle incorporates a 16.1-inch chrome-lined, medium taper profile barrel with a 1:7" right-hand twist rate and a standard A2 flash hider, optimized to cut down overall front-end weight without sacrificing match accuracy. It is built on mil-spec forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers finished in a matte black hardcoat anodizing, topped with an optics-ready flat-top Picatinny upper receiver.
