The Colt M5 Carbine Sentry Rifle is a semi-automatic, direct gas impingement rifle chambered in 5.56mm NATO, representing the next generation of evolution in Colt's legacy line of high-performance military and sporting arms. This modern carbine incorporates a 16.1-inch free-floating barrel with a 1:7" right-hand twist rate and an A2 flash hider, built onto newly redesigned forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers finished in a matte black Type III hardcoat anodizing. Operating on a reliable carbine-length gas system with a pinned low-profile gas block, it is uniquely engineered with full ambidextrous lower receiver controls (magazine catch, bolt release, and safety selector) alongside an ambidextrous Radian Raptor charging handle to ensure seamless operation from either hand.
