Geissele MOD1 GFR 6mm ARC 14.5" Rifle 08-654B exists because 6mm ARC needed a platform built around it, not bolted onto one. Small-frame ARs traditionally gave up range and power for weight savings; large-frame rifles gave up maneuverability for performance. The GFR 6mm ARC rifle splits that difference — flat trajectory, real downrange energy, and none of the feeding issues that plague lesser 6mm ARC builds.

The 14.5" cold hammer forged barrel is pinned and welded to a 16" overall length, chambered with a 1-7.5 twist and running Geissele's Phased Array® gas system through an Antistrike Super Compact Gas Block on a Super Mid-Length system. That combination is what keeps recoil impulse low and target reacquisition fast, rather than fighting muzzle rise between shots.

Full ambidextrous controls carry the same layout found across Geissele's Super Duty line — a left-side magazine release below the Maritime Bolt Catch and a dust-cover-actuated bolt catch/release on the right, so reloads stay fast whether the shooter is left- or right-handed. Inside, the Nanoweapon®-coated Reliability Enhanced BCG runs a forged Carpenter 158+ bolt, built to hold up under high round counts where standard bolts start to show wear.
