The Geissele SCH 7.62mm DDC Super Charging Handle 05-476S was built specifically with that in mind — a Geissele Super Charging Handle sized and reinforced for large-frame platforms, rather than a 5.56 handle stretched to fit.
As a Geissele charging handle, the SCH brings the same ambidextrous philosophy the line is known for, with dual contoured, checkered levers on both sides so grip stays solid whether you're bare-handed or running gloves in cold weather. The extended claw geometry makes it easier to find and grab quickly, especially useful when you're clearing a malfunction under time pressure and don't want to be hunting for a small handle. A rolled rear lip helps redirect gas blowback away from the shooter, which becomes noticeably more important on 7.62 builds where gas volume and pressure run higher than 5.56 systems.
Finished in Geissele desert dirt color with Type III hardcoat anodizing, this handle pairs a low-visibility finish with genuine field durability — the kind of anodizing that resists wear rather than just looking tactical out of the box. Machined from 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum in the USA, it weighs approximately 3.3 oz, enough heft to feel substantial without adding unnecessary bulk to the upper. It's built to fit large-frame AR-15 (A2/Bravo), AR-10, SR25, and DPMS/LR308 pattern uppers, covering most of the major 7.62 platforms shooters are already running.
