Tikka T1x Rifles
Most rimfires feel like a toy next to a real hunting rifle. The T1x doesn't. Tikka built it on the same footprint as the T3x, and the barreled action even drops into a T3x Lite stock. So practice with cheap .22 ammo feels a lot like shooting your deer rifle. We stock Tikka T1x rifles in .22 LR and .17 HMR, with 16- or 20-inch barrels, right- and left-hand, in four different stock setups.
T1x MTR
MTR stands for Multi-Task Rifle, and it's the standard synthetic T1x. On our shelves it's listed simply as "Tikka T1x". The Tikka T1x MTR has a cold hammer forged barrel in a profile that sits between sporter and heavy, which gives you some of the steadiness of a heavy barrel without much extra weight. Tikka puts it at roughly 5.5 to 6.2 pounds depending on configuration. It's the pick for most people.
T1x UPR
The Tikka T1x UPR comes in a stock with more adjustment and a vertical grip, set up for shooting off a bag or bipod. Barrels are threaded 1/2x28 in 16 or 20 inches. If you're getting into rimfire precision, the Tikka T1x UPR .17 HMR is a strong pick. The .17 shoots flatter and hits harder at distance than a .22.
T1x Hunter
This is the wood-stocked version with a blued barrel. We carry the Tikka T1x Hunter .22 LR in 16 and 20 inches, plus .17 HMR models with an oiled brown stock. Both calibers come threaded 1/2x28.
T1x ACE
The ACE puts the T1x in Tikka's modular chassis. Our current listing is a 16-inch Tikka T1x 22LR, threaded and ready for a suppressor.
.22 LR or .17 HMR?
The .22 LR is quiet and cheap, which makes it perfect for high-volume practice and squirrels. The .17 HMR is faster and flatter, and it reaches farther. That makes it a better fit for prairie dogs and ground squirrels past 100 yards. Twist rates reflect the difference: 1:16.5 on the .22s and 1:9 on the .17s.
Left-Handed T1x Rifles
Plenty of rimfires never come in a left-hand version. The Tikka T1x left hand does, in both calibers and both barrel lengths. The Tikka T1x Left Hand .17HMR is especially hard to find, so grab one while we have it.
Setting Up Your T1x
T1x rifles need their own magazines, so stock up on spares from our Tikka magazines page. For optics, the T1x Picatinny rail comes flat or with 20 MOA of cant. See our Tikka scope mounts. Because the MTR uses the T3x Lite stock, many T3x grips and forends fit it too. Looking for other Tikka rimfire rifles or a centerfire to match? Browse all Tikka.
