Tikka T3x Lite Roughtech .308 Win 24" 1:11 Bbl Left Hand Rifle JRTXRT416 is a plain, sensible hunting rifle for lefties. Nothing exotic about it. It shoots a cartridge you can buy anywhere, and it's built to survive a wet, muddy season.

The barrel is fluted and blued, with a 1:11 twist that handles most factory .308 loads without fuss. It's threaded 5/8x24, so you can add a suppressor whenever you like. Until then, the blued muzzle brake takes some of the bite out of recoil. A Tikka T3x Lite 308 isn't a hard kicker anyway, and with the enhanced recoil pad and steel recoil lug, follow-up shots come back on target quickly.

The stock is tan Roughtech with black webbing, and it has a rough texture that grips when your hands are wet or cold. The pistol grip and forend swap out if the fit isn't right. That matters more than it sounds like on a left-hand rifle, where aftermarket options are thin.

Lefties know the bolt story. On this build, the handle sits where your hand expects it, and the oversized knob works fine with gloves on. The Tikka T3x Lite Roughtech also has a fluted bolt to trim weight and a metal shroud over the back of the bolt and firing pin. Single rounds drop easily through the wide ejection port, and the detachable magazine holds three.

Mounting a scope takes no special parts. The 17mm rail is drilled and tapped for Weaver bases or Picatinny rail.

Every Tikka T3x Lite rifle starts out light and accurate. The T3x Lite Roughtech version adds the weatherproofing. For a left-handed hunter after a dependable deer rifle, that's a solid place to start.
