The Trijicon ACOG TA31 TA31-D-100313 green chevron BAC reticle is zeroed using the tip at 100 meters with BDC holdover references extending out to 800 meters for the specific .223 trajectory. The 5.53 MOA chevron base width represents 19 inches at 300 meters - providing a practical silhouette-target ranging reference for fast field distance estimation without additional ranging equipment. The BAC both-eyes-open design enables instinctive close-range acquisition through the open chevron shape, while the sharp green tip delivers precise aiming at medium-range distances.
The Trijicon ACOG 4x32 TA31-D-100313 FDE finish completes the earth-tone weapon system aesthetic without the visual inconsistency of a standard black optic on a deliberately FDE-colored platform. Three deliberate configuration choices in a single package - FDE finish color, green chevron reticle format, and green illumination color - that work together for both practical and aesthetic FDE build consistency.
