The ranging reticle extends BDC holdover references out to 800 meters for the specific .308 trajectory - calibrated for the round the shooter is actually running.
The 5.53 MOA chevron base width provides a practical ranging reference - representing 19 inches at 300 meters for fast silhouette target distance estimation without any additional ranging equipment.
The Trijicon ACOG TA11E-G fiber-optic and tritium dual-illumination automatically adjusts the green chevron brightness to ambient light levels without batteries, always on and always correctly lit from the moment the rifle comes up, regardless of conditions.
