The Trijicon ACOG scope TA11H-308 red horseshoe BAC reticle is calibrated for 7.62 .308 caliber flattop rifles - a purpose-built reticle that provides accurate ranging and holdover references out to 1,200 meters for the .308 ballistic trajectory rather than adapted from a 5.56 caliber reticle that does not correctly represent the holdover requirements of the heavier, slower-velocity .308 round. The Bindon Aiming Concept horseshoe format gives the shooter fast, instinctive close-range acquisition through the open horseshoe, combined with a precise center aiming reference for accurate shots at the extended distances that .308-caliber rifles are specifically capable of.
The ACOG 3.5x35 TA11H-308 battery-free dual-illumination system uses fiber optics to automatically adjust daylight illumination to ambient light levels, and tritium to illuminate the reticle at night, an always-on illumination system that has made the Trijicon ACOG the most combat-proven magnified optic in history, with no battery dependence.
The Trijicon ACOG TA11H-308 includes a flattop adapter for correct mounting on flat-top AR-10 and other .308 flattop rifle platforms - delivering the proper height and alignment for the BAC sight picture that the horseshoe reticle system requires for effective use.
