When the Blaser R8 or R93 rifle is cocked, the Zeiss Victory Varipoint iC riflescope is illuminated. A small magnetic encoder in the cocking slide of the Blaser rifle is connected to a sensor on the underside of the Varipoint iC scope activating the illuminated reticle.
