Description

Athlon Optic’s Ares ETR 1-10x24mm Riflescope was designed to for extreme accuracy at both short and long range. It features an illuminated, etched-glass reticle in the first focal plane that shrinks or grows when zoomed in or out, allowing for rapid target engagement at low power and precise holdover positions at high power. In addition, the Ares ETR comes equipped a locking elevation turret. This locking system prevents accidental adjustments by allowing the user to push the turret down to lock it, and pull the turret up to turn it. This works in conjunction with the Precision Zero Stop System, which enables the user to return to the original zeroing after making adjustments.

Gave it 5 stars on a curve. This is the only Athlon product I own. I am by no means a fan boy. For the price, you cannot beat it. Is the glass better on an 1-8 ATACR? Yes. But this glass will shock you for under a grand. The reticle is very useful. The turrets are great. I love the near tooless zero. Illumination is barely daytime bright but its still there. Overall I like this optic better than many other more expensive 1-10’s. For a shade under a grand you cant beat this optic.

For the price, you can't beat it. I use a Nightforce ATACR 1-8 professionally and I, personally, prefer this. I don't know if it will stand up to the same abuse the NF will, but it seems pretty rugged. The glass is just as clear as the NF, it has a (in my opinion) better reticle, and another 2x of magnification. Oh, and it's less than half the price. HIGHLY recommend.

Product arrived in timely manner and appeared to be a great value. Glass was surprising clear and turrets had a very positive feel. Reticle was very usable. No battery came with it so I had to go buy one and it delayed checking illumination. Once battery was installed I was able to check illuminated reticle and I noticed the problem. Numerous red spots all around the field of view not associated with the reticle. Obviously they had a problem when etching the reticle. Product returned. I’ll purchase something not made in China.
