Geissele Super Duty MOD1 5.56 NATO 13.9" DDC Rifle 08-479S takes the same barrel and gas engineering as Geissele's SBR line and pins the muzzle device out to a legal 16" overall length, giving shooters the shorter handling characteristics of a 13.9" barrel without the NFA paperwork.

The barrel is cold hammer forged, chrome-lined, and cut to a 1:7 twist on Geissele's tapered profile, pinned and welded with a HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD 556. This Geissele MOD 1 Super Duty build runs a mid-length gas system through a Super Compact Gas Block with a .079" gas port, feeding a Nanoweapon®-coated Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group. Inside, a forged Stressproof Bolt machined from Carpenter 158+ barstock holds up to sustained round counts that would start showing wear on a standard bolt.

This 5.56 NATO rifle's SSA-E X® trigger with Lightning Bow® splits the difference between a classic M4 trigger and a flat-bow design - light takeup, then a break that's crisp without feeling twitchy. A 12.9" MK16 rail with Geissele's Center Tab mating keeps the front end rigid, and a B5 Systems Enhanced SOPMOD stock rides a mil-spec buffer tube with QD endplate for a solid cheek weld.
