The purpose-built M193 calibration gives shooters the correct holdover and ranging references for this load's specific trajectory, rather than a generic 5.56 reticle that requires mental adjustment to the actual ammunition being fired.
The Trijicon TA31 green chevron BAC reticle is designed to be zeroed at 100 meters using the tip, with BDC holdover references extending out to 800 meters for the specific M193 trajectory. The 5.5 MOA chevron base width represents 19 inches at 300 meters - providing a practical silhouette-target ranging reference that gives the shooter fast distance estimation without additional ranging equipment. The BAC both-eyes-open design enables instinctive close-range acquisition through the open chevron shape, while the sharp green tip handles precise medium and extended-range shot placement.
