Kimber gives their popular R7 Mako handgun a tactical transformation with the R7 Mako CFc (Carbon Fiber compact). The frame is completely redesigned with a carbon fiber infused polymer construction, giving the frame an astounding 60,000 psi tensile strength. A higher undercut enhances ergonomics, and aggressive texturing on the grip provides a secure purchase over the weapon. Select models of the R7 Mako CFc feature a threaded barrel and a pre-installed Holosun HS 407K micro red dot.

Just like previous models of the R7 Mako, the R7 Mako CFc's slide features a closed top design – this strengthens the slide and reduces the chance of residue buildup, and a hooded ejection port vents the gasses and spent brass away from the optic. The barrel configuration features a barrel lug that sits farther back, this minimizes the unlock angle and movement of the barrel which greatly mitigates recoil. The R7 Mako CFc is also equipped with Kimber’s exclusive Performance Carry Trigger, a flat-faced trigger that offers a smooth 5 to 6.75 pound pull with a clean break.
