The SCR11/SCI20 pushes the limits of what a precision rifle can be, and comes standard with a wide array of features exclusive to JP Enterprises. It utilizes JP’s own SCI20 upper receiver, which removes the ergonomically awkward top-charge T-Handle normally found on AR-platforms, and replaces it with a unique left side mounted charging handle. This side charging handle is foldable, non-reciprocating, and delivers vastly superior leverage and ergonomics. To ensure exceptional accuracy, the SCR11/SCI20 is equipped with the JP Supermatch barrel, which is made from premium 416R stainless steel and is lead-lapped and button rifled with state of the art equipment before being air gauged to confirm minimal bore diameter run out. The Supermatch barrel is then cryogenically treated for cold bore shot predictability, minimal thermal drift, and a long service life. The Supermatch barrel is encased in a JP Thermal Dissipator – a high performance heat-sink that increases the surface area under the handguard by over 700%. This allows the heat generated from multiple shot to be quickly vented off, vastly improving accuracy and makes the rifle easier to hold in applications that require sustained fire. The Thermal Dissipator is made from 6061 aluminum and features hand-polished fins for a distinctive, eye-catching sheen under the handguard.
Other features of the SCR11/SCI20 include a Magpul PRS Gen3 stock and Magpul MIAD pistol grip. The PRS Gen3 stock offers a solid interface for making precise long range shots, and can be finely tuned to the user’s preferred cheek height and length of pull. This stock also includes a cant/height-adjustable butt-pad and a rotation-limiting QD sling swivel cups. The MIAD pistol grip is specifically designed to improve ergonomics and shooter comfort with its interchangeable front and rear straps, and aggressively textured surface ensures positive weapon control. In addition, the SCR11/SCI20 is outfitted with a full length picatinny rail for mounting an optic of choice, and has ample rail space to attaching a clip-on thermal or night vision device.
