I've only ever used cheaper Bushnells which have always been durable. Have always had a hard time getting a nice round clear view, but these are leaps and bounds beyond the Bushnells. Nice clear picture from edge to edge and get a full field of view. Bought for deer and elk hunting. I went with the 8x because the higher magnification exacerbates every little shake, which gets tiring when holding them in your hands.
