The Mark 5HD also comes standard with Leupold’s Professional-Grade Optical System to deliver outstanding light transmission and high-resolution while simultaneously reducing glare. In addition, the Mark 5HD features an exposed elevation turret with large, easy to read numbers and tactile, audible click adjustments. This turret is also protected with a ZeroLock dial, helping prevent accidental adjustments.

I am impressed with the Mark 5HD 5-25x56mm's brightness and clarity across the magnification range. Its eyebox is nice. The knobs provide great feedback. I like Leupold's visual/tactile system for recognizing how many revolutions you've adjusted the elevation knob. The Tremor3 reticle is quite useful, if a bit busy, but I knew what I was getting into. This is a floor model, but handling marks were quite minor and easily removed. One retention point on the front flip cap sticks more than the other. Perhaps it was used and abused a bit? Not a major concern though, as it's still functional.
