The sako design is well thought out and engineering is superb, precise fitting components but it has some flaws in my opinion. The design does not have enough drilled entries to allow for more adjustment of the rings, just a mere two settings back and forth. This limits the amount of movement the scope can be set back to allow the shooter more leeway for the focal window and not have to stretch one's neck to see the entire scope view. In my case, last year I had several layers of clothing plus a parka and the extra thickness did not allow me to view the Leupold scope window very well and had to stretch my neck to get a full view, even with removal of the spacers in the stock, The scope was already at its furthest point and up against the front ring. In fact, I changed out the scope for another model ( Tract ) that had a longer tube to move it further back and get a good view. So, the design is good but could be better. I will probably have a machine shop drill more ring inlets to provide another adjustment further rearward or just change it all to a one piece rings and rail (AR cantilever style) and to hell with this optilock setup.
On top of all this issue, it's expensive to buy.
