I've used a variety of methods to level the reticles on my scopes. I use picatinny rails on all my rifles (this device may no be as easy to use if you are using a different method to attach your scope rings to your receiver). I have found the Badger Ordnance Dead Level device to be the easiest and most intuitive way to perform that task. It is expensive. I made my decision to purchase this product after watching a number of instructional videos on YouTube. The most helpful video was; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBkxvmFUkiI I couldn't get the flashlight trick to work, however, I could set up a plumb line 60 feet away and simply look through the scope.
