I've had one of these optics mounted in a rear bomar sight cut on my competition 1911 for four years, and it's been outstanding. I'll have to change the battery soon, then rezero it but it's solid and dependable. They use the same mounting systems as the Burris fast fire 3.

I've had one mounted on a Marlin 1894 .44 mag rifle and it has been flawless. I wish we could get base plates like are being made for handguns so the sight could be attached with having to use a base mount which would let the sight be lowered closer to the gun. I also with the screws that attach the two parts of the sight were trox screws.
