In my opinion the Schmidt and Bender PM II is THE optic that all others are measured by. Are X brands glass as clear as the PM II? Are the turrets as good as the PM II? On and on. So why not just get the PM II and save the headaches and guessing if it is a good?
There is also a few more features that I really like. One is the threaded eyepiece which allows for a secure attachment of a threaded aftermarket lense cover instead of a aftermarket "clamp on" type cover. The threaded eyepiece also allows for easy diopter adjustment with a aftermarket cover attached.
I also think the biggest selling point for Schmidt and Bender is their technical support in Virginia. When calling with questions, needing service or adjustments, a tech personally answers the phone. Thet techs at Schmidt and Bender shooters too. You can't ask for better suppport.
I really like the quality and performance of this 3-12 PMII. Being a lefty, I chose the CW rotation of the turrets, it is just a more natural way for me to make adjustments.
This purchase is not my first Schmidt and Bender and definately won't be my last. Solid, durable and dependable product. No bells and whistles, no BS, just rock solid performance and service.

As mentioned already, this is THE precision scope. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The reticle, lenses, turret clicks, everything about it screams quality. Literally puts my $1400 Trijicon to shame. I am not easily impressed but this scope blew my mind when I opened the box. I've handled every other scope out there, from Nightforce to Vortex to Swarovskis, and this is by far the best one.
