I just got this yesterday afternoon. Have used this before when I was in the USAF. I've been wanting one for a long time. Now that I got one, this will be the last pair of binoculars I'll be purchasing. Glass is excellent, edges are as clear as the center. Followed instructions on eye piece adjustment. Thank you for your hard work.

I did pretty extensive research before purchasing the Marine 7x50 binoculars. Upon receipt I knew the reviews were accurate. This is a top quality product. You will not regret your decision.

It's funny because I had been thinking about buying a new pair of binoculars but not of this quality so I'm glad I didn't. The light gathering ability and clarity of the optics is nothing short of amazing! The fact that once set to your vision, they are in perfect focus from 60' to infinity is also awesome. I would call these super high definition 3D binoculars. Below is a photo off my deck, shot with my phone through one ocular lens.

We just received the binoculars yesterday but so far we couldn't be happier. We have had other brands but wanted one for our boat. The clarity and self focus is fantastic.

Purchased these for sailing, racing, whale watching, primarily on the water activities. I have a pair of Safari 8x22 also that I use for sporting events and hiking. But I needed a larger field of vision for use on the boats. I'm all about simple, durable and above all, quality. My Steiner binos have never disappointed.

This is my third pair of Steiner Binoculars and in my opinion are by far the best buy in the lineup. To my untrained eye, the case and optics seem to be every bit as good and as rugged as the far more expensive Commander and Military/Marine models that I have owned in the past. Every time I sell a boat, I give the Steiners to the buyer as an incentive for buying the boat. And every time I do it I regret not having them and buy another pair! You can never go wrong with Steiner binoculars

I've only had my new binoculars a few days. When I first opened them, you could feel the quality. After reading the directions, I realized how easy they are to use. The auto focus works great. The life time warranty tells a lot about the company. So far I'm very pleased.

I was introduced to the brand in the early 80's, a good friend had a gun shop and sold high end optics. Steiner binoculars were one brand he carried. The first time I picked up a pair you could feel a difference and that first look really told the story. I have been a loyal Steiner customer since then. I don't have that original pair, but have since replaced them with 2 pair of Marine 7x50's, one pair is older and the other was purchased this month. I use only 7x50's, I like the brightness of the binocular when using them in low light conditions or night time use. I feel like the 7x50 is the best all around binocular. We use our Steiner's to scout for animals on our property in North Georgia, and star gazing for satellites. Our older pair did double duty on our boats and worked with me at nights in law enforcement, they never clouded or lost their sharpness. They always go with us when we travel and are very helpful in the car, they are a necessary travel accessory for us. They are bright and clear as well as durable. On a recent trip to North Carolina, we stopped at a observation area to see the grand view. I pulled out the Steiner's and was taking in the view, a gentleman next to me had a pair of brand X binoculars. I handed him mine and asked him to take a look, he was totally amazed. He could not believe the difference in clarity and brightness. He asked me what they were and where he could get a pair. That sums up Steiner quality for me. We love our Steiner's and always will.

As a sailor for several decades I have bought several pairs of binoculars.over the years. Most gave reasonable to poor service under in the watery environment of ocean sailing. More often than not after only short periods of time defects came into play. For years friends have told me about Steiner. Finally a few years ago I purchased my first pair. The visual clarity is astounding in all conditions which include nighttime use. I my Marine 7X50 for several years before deciding to buy a new set. The old ones had done their service plus.Once again, I found quality both in construction and design. I am very pleased with these and expect them to give me many years of use in the future. .

As soon as took them out of the box, I was impressed with the ease that my hands fit the binoculars. This design is very user friendly and allows secure grip. I followed the instructions in the booklet, focusing on a sign 100 + yards away and was delighted with the binoculars absolutely clear vision. The sports auto focus system works perfectly. I tried them again as it was getting dark and the lens still gave excellent celerity. This binocular is great for any outdoor task, that requires long distance clear vision.

Sales staff at West Marine, Oakville, Ontario were very helpful in aiding me in the selection of these binoculars. So far only one minor issue I am working through and that is the eye piece adjustment for my left eye, Still not getting the perfect image. Also your internet registration form allowed me to register the fact that I live in Canada but would NOT allow me to identify the province I put shared them in, the only options available were US states, a bug the needs to be fixed.

I bought these for boating. Especially like the clarity and ruggedness . They also seem to dampen movement better than others. Nice case included , but not a strap for the case which seems odd.

I previously purchased the same power marine binoculars from a well known marine store. The Steiners are far superior to the others. I was also surprised that I can wear them for some time without getting a neck ache. You can't go wrong buying these.

These seem to be a good value for the money. The field of view is not as wide as the 7x50 military models but is quite acceptable. They advertise that once focus is set at 60' or beyond your good to go but I find that a bit optimistic. 100' or more would be more like it. This focus system is ideal if most of your subject's are at mid to long range i.e hunting, boating, landscape or an Air Traffic Controller etc. It's doubtful that these are "Made in Germany" as advertised on distributor websites as neither the binoculars nor the box they came in say one way or another. Only the plastic front lens cover says made in Germany. This would of course explain the large price difference between these and the Military models etc. Nonetheless they appear to be of good quality and value for the price.

I purchased the West Marine 7x50 binoculars for navigation aid for my sailboat.I like the manufacturing quality and the optics are excellent the image is bright even in low light. The built in Compass is analog, and it appears to be easily read when taking a sighting.Comes with a padded storage case with a strap. One minor issue to keep in mind these don't come with a floating strap for the glasses themselves.I need to get a floating strap before I can use them (Before I'm willing to take risks)

I have purchased many binoculars in the past. They would magnify distant objects, but the over all quality was lacking. I would get tired of looking through them. I do not really need binoculars. They are a bit of an extravagance. I bought them to watch soccer games; I wanted so see distance with a wider field of view. The Marine 7x50 does a great job. They are comfortable to hold and comfortable to look through. They are quality through out.

I wanted a good binocular that was waterproof, fog free, great optics at a fair price. My wife and I like that we can take the binoculars kayaking, hiking, or for bird watching. The Marine 7x50 is like the SUV of binoculars.

In short, these are great optics for maritime enforcement in the urban/marina environment, even in low light conditions. I was also pleased that I could simply put a NV monoscope up to one of the eye pieces or a cell phone camera against it to capture images. I have no problem acquiring vehicle plates and vessel hull numbers in low light at medium distance, sometimes even when targets are in motion.I had an issue with one of the diopters not adjusting properly a few months after I purchased these binos and simply sent them in for service. The turn-around time was reasonable.I will never buy another pair of manual focus binos.

I work as a police officer. After going through a few cheaper 7x25mm binos I decided to look for a reasonably priced low magnification large lens binoculars to use at night. If you know anything about the light gather ability of optics you find magic happens when you double the size of your objective lens. As prior US military I knew the name Steiner, how well they worked and shopped their product line landing on the 7x50 marine. What have I found they can do for observation in an urban setting? They really work. I found I can see into shadows that are just dark areas and pick out people in them that think they are concealed, I have found people hiding in in cold weather because I could see their breath at night, because there is no focus to work I can track and read plates at night on moving vehicles, with my headlights on I can even read the plates when the car is coming at me head on. I don't handle these gently while I do not abuse them, they have been tossed into my front seat a few times after seeing something really good. The optics take this without issue, the exact thing that has broken other optics.
