Overall the Steiner T5Xi 3-15 is an amazing rifle scope. The scope has amazing clarity in all lighting conditions. Magnification, parallax, windage, elevation, and illumination knobs are easy to grip, even with gloved hands. The windage and elevation knobs make solid "clicks" during adjustment. The extended elevation SCR reticle makes long distance holdovers easy, and the second rotation indicator makes certain you do not get lost in the dial. The locking dioptor is great for preventing unwanted changes due to the use of flip-open lens covers or when making magnification adjustments in the dark. The precision ranging scale (at the extremes of the SCR reticle) is a great feature as well. It makes ranging objects much more precise. Also, the rifle scope included a sunshade. The illumination is not bright enough to be seen on a sunny day. Normally this would not be an issue, as I typically only use an illuminated reticle in low light conditions. However, the SCR reticle includes a precision ranging scale (.1 mil hash lines at the extremes of the reticle) that is very difficult to see against dark colored objects. Brighter illumination would make this precision scale functional in full sun.The packaging included a sunshade and a registration card that states it will send a free magnification throw lever and tenebrex lens covers. Steiner-optics.com implied that the lens covers and throw levers are included with the purchase of the rifle scope, but they do not come with it. I registered my rifle scope 4 weeks ago, and I am still waiting on the lens covers. Until I receive them, I am unwilling to place this scope on my duty rifle. The windage scale on the SCR reticle uses .2 mil marks which takes some adjusting if you typically use Mil-dot reticles. I find it hard make rapid ranging estimations using the .2 mil scale compared to the traditional Mil-dot. Perhaps after extensive use, I will get better. As of right now, I still find the SCR reticle a little busy for tactical applications. It is probably better suited for target purposes.

I bought this mainly for long range shooting with a Rem 700 300WM for target shooting between 600-1500 meters. If you plan on doing extreme long range shooting go for the 5X25 X56mm for the extra elevation adjustments and use a 45 MOA rail. I am using a 20MOA rail which is fine for what I am using it for. It's also a good scope for my AR15 that is use between 200-300 meters (too heavy for CQB IMO). You can't have a scope that does every style of shooting; I think this is a good option if you only have enough money to buy one high-end scope but wish to shoot different styles.

Right when I opened the box I knew that I had a quality optic. The fit and finish of this scope is right on par with scopes costing thousands more. The optics themselves are outstanding. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting value from their scope.

Optic is very well built! clear, tight, and precise. Remember folks you get what you pay for. Can't beat the construction of this optic and a company that will stand behind it. Illumination on the reticle is crisp, turrets all feel the same(precise). Looking forward to adding more Steiner product to the collection. Btw, this optic jumps from rifle to rifle so it gets moved constantly and still remains new.

I recently purchased a POF Gen4 P308. I decided it needed a good optic. After researching and talking with the guys at my local gun shop. I went with the T5Xi. I am very happy with my purchase. The glass is clear from edge to edge. The reticle is crisp and easy to read. When illuminated it is clear and does not over light the reticle. I haven't tried it passed 200 yards due to lack of area to shot. This optic makes me look like a pro.

This is simply an amazing scope for the price. There are so few products out there that provide a great price/performance ratio. All while still being made in the USA!This glass is extremely clear, focus adjustment, turrets and the SCR reticle are all great! The turrets are repeatable, the auto rotation turret is simply amazing and you will never again wonder what rotation you are on.The reticle is awesome, very easy to use, gets out of your way, but still provides you enough information for a shooting solution. I have the SCR, and the offerd H59 would also be wonderful in the longer 5-25 range I think. The glass is extremely clear for this price range, I don't know that you can even start to compare glass clarity in this range with other competitors... maybe even higher priced ones.

I mounted this with a burris 20moa cant and I now have way more range than my 7.62*51 can reach. The Illumination range works from a bright day to my NV set up.I am a 58 yo professional, I have many rifles, and this is by far the best scope for the money. Any body on the fence you would be hard pressed to find anything better in this price range. I will be purchasing another.

Used to have one of the initial Steiner Military Scopes that were sold in the US when Steiner first started making rifle scopes. That unit matched by Schmidt and Bender in every way blow by blow, even though I had paid a clearance price for it that was less than 1/3rd the cost of the Bender. Regretted trading it off; when I went back to the store to buy it back, it was already gone. Now, I have a this T5Xi. So far, so good. If it doesn't hold up to use, I'll be back to edit.

I've owned many scopes, and more than a few tactical scopes for LR shooting. I've also spent more for scopes with fewer features and greater bulk than the Steiner T5Xi 3-15x50mm. But the full package that I have with my Steiner; ilummination, second turn indicator, SCR reticle, Tenebraex scope covers, throw lever, crisp turrets, and 34 Mils of elevation on tap, in an under 30 oz package, with clear optical performance, is just outstanding.

Clarity is fantastic. Tactile clicks for elevation are the best I have ever felt. The elevation indicator window is awesome, and illumination is perfect. I had a Leupold Mark 6 3-18x44 scope on my Remington 700 prior to buying the Steiner Tactical 3-15x50 and the Steiner blows the Leupold out of the water. The Steiner has much better glass, better adjustments, better illumination on the reticle and the SCR reticle on the Steiner smokes Leupold's tactical milling reticle. To top it off, the Steiner is less expensive than the Mark 6! Buy one, you won't regret it!

I need to put it through its paces more, but so far I'm very impressed with the scope overall, its very well made with amazing glass. Glass is a decent amount superior to other scopes in its price range. The weight was one of the deciding factors for me as I wanted something for a match/hunting rifle. The SCR reticle is awesome. I've used lots of great reticles, but this one with .2 hash marks on the windage is awesome. I recommend the 3-15 for a great hunting or lightweight match scope.

I was looking for a quality FFP scope but I didn't like the idea of spending a lot of cash on a scope and then having a hard time seeing the reticle at low magnifications. The illumination on this model takes care of that issue and I am thrilled with the purchase. The scope is built like a tank and the turrets are excellent. Clicks are positive, turrets are low profile but easy to use, and the adjusting numbers on the turrets are great- so much for having to keep track of large adjustments. The clarity is excellent throughout the entire magnification range and I think I've finally found a scope that will stay on my rifle for a lifetime.

This is my first FFP scope. I purchased this scope to use on my Remington 700 XCR Compact Tactical in .308. The glass on this scope is crystal clear & SCR reticle very sharp at it's higher power settings. In a quick point and shoot situation, the lower power settings will be used sparingly as the reticle becomes too small for this type of shooting. This is my first FFP scope, so getting used to the Euro style scope will take some getting used to. Most American influenced scopes are SFP (or rear focal plane) scopes, which make the quick point and shoot at low ranges easy. With the FFP scope, the reticle changes in size as you go up and down with the power settings compared to the SFP scope which changes the background size as you go up and down through the settings and not the reticle size. This is a very good reason to have illumination with the FFP scope. Point of impact will not change with the Steiner scope if you have to change power settings. The scope tube, 34 mm is heavy and very sturdy. This is another feature I like about this scope. Does not have a cheap junky feel or look to it. The operational features of the turrets w/rotation indicator are one of the best out there making a quick mil change easy (no counting involved). It sits on a very solid platform. In reading other reviews, others were concerned as well as myself with the limited internal elevation adjustment within the scope settings. It is advertised as being 34 mils and found the adjustments to be 23 mils. If you look through your manual, you will see it says the max range of adjustment is 23 mils, not 34 mils. I have two pic rails, (1) at 20 MOA and (1) at 45 MOA which Steiner recommends to use. I will try both and see what the limitations or pro's and con's are. I plan on another review after I have made the test. I only gave it 4 stars until I can evaluate it's full use. I would really like to hear from other shooters as what pic rail base worked best for them.

Brought this Steiner T5Xi 3-15x50 for my son hunting/target Remington 700 rifle. After narrowing down to a couple high-end scopes, decided on the Steiner from a shooting friend. Very solid, the glass is very crisp. Will get another one on the next AR build.

Absolutely impressed! Reticle is great, turrets are the best I've felt (blows my NXS and Razor out of the water), glass is without a doubt the best in lowlight so far. Knew it was top quality when I opened the box and saw it was tightly packed into cut out foam and neatly organized. Will be buying a 5-25 for another rifle soon.

This is the second Steiner scope I've bought in the last several months. Overall they have great optics, and the turrets are excellent with a very positive click at each setting. All in all a terrific value.

This scope is going on my 338 lapua long range hunting rifle. So i needed great glass but didn't want it to weigh a ton and I also wanted no more then 4 power on the bottom end on the mag power. So this scope fit the bill perfectly. The retictle looks easy to use and turrets are awesome. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because it has 34 mil's of adjustment but the never lost turret only lets you use 23.4 mils of it once zero'd. With the rifle 23 mil's will be more than enough to reach way out there, but still would have been nice to been able to use all of the adjustment.

I purchased the T5Xi 3-15 model after looking into several options from Steiner as well as other companies. The product offers good value, and I've been really happy with the purchase. No complaints, recommended.

I bought this on a reccomendation and the reviews i've read. The best comparison for this scope would be my Nightforce F1. Pretty much the same options and has just as clear as glass.

I also have a Nightforce NXS 5.5x22 and a Bushnell ERS Tactical Elite 3.5x21 on other rifles. This new Steiner T5Xi is every bit as good if not better than those. Glass is crystal clear, the reticle pattern is just right for me and the Warranty is one of the best in the industry! I've been wanting a 34mm Steiner for a long time and when this model came out at this price point...it was a must buy...and I'm very happy I did!!!

review 1 of 2 initial thoughts -I purchased the T5XI 3-15X50, For hunting/ low light and medium/long range precision shooting. Upon opening the box I knew this scope was perfect for what I needed. I enjoy all the quality material- esthetically and tactile surfaces make it easy to find your way around the scope even in the dark. Ever inch of this scope has been crafted with the utmost care to function and accuracy. The glass is amazing, eye relief was quickly adjusted. The size of the scope was perfect for my cheek weld on a remington 700. The 34mm tube is robust and adds the benefit of more elevation adjustments without having to buy a higher moa base. I appreciate that a sunshade was included as I would have had to purchase this item for later. Price point was exactly at my limit and I believe I got the better deal and that this scope is worth far more. I just mounted the scope to my rifle today and cant wait to go shooting. I will write another review after my time with this amazing rifle scope. Thanks Steiner for a perfect product that will bring me much joy in life and more importantly get the game it was built to take down.

I bought the T5Xi 5x25x56 a couple of months ago for my 6.5 creedmoor, it has the SCR reticle which isfantastic! the hold overs are dead on and the turrets are amazingly fast when dialing, and you never get lost, so I bought the 3x15x50 for my DMR rifle. Nuff said.

Chose this scope for use on my semi auto rifle. Didn't want to spend $4k on S&B this time. This scope does the job perfectly fine. Great quality and clear picture. Turrets take some time getting used to, but nothing problematic.Really happy with the unit. Reasonably priced.

Received the T5Xi as a replacement to a 3-12x50 military. First off the shorter overall length compared to the 3-12 is great especially on a rifle that is being dragged through the woods during hunts. The glass is exactly what I've come to expect from steiner and is great for the money. The new turrets offer good feedback and the lower profile is a welcome change, to finish it all off the new SCR reticle is very nice with my only complaint being that it is a bit too light so non illuminated use on dark targets is troublesome.

Recommended to me by a marine scout sniper. Great glass for the value. Illumination can be shut off one click from your desired level resulting in far fewer battery replacements.

Purchased this optic to use on a Tikka T3 CTR. The field of view is great. The SCR reticle is easy to use and learn on even for this novice user. It's compact and makes for a nice compact package with a 20" rifle. Typical Steiner quality, this thing is built like a take.

This is my second T5Xi, I have the 5-25 as well. I have had no issues at all with my 5-25. I really like the reticle, it is fine enough to use for precision, and also large enough to find easily. The .2 mil windage marks are nice. The features and price make this a great scope.

I was looking for a riflescope for my KIDD 10/22. I selected the STEINER T5Xi 3-15x50 after numerous hours of research. It was the only scope that met all of my requirements. I am completely satisfied with my purchase!

I got this scope in the mail yesterday and got it all mounted up to take out shooting today. The scope was very clear and the reticle is easy to see even on lowest power and when on high power the reticle is not to thick, its just right. The turrets on this scope are very easy to use and I love how you don't get lost in it at all. the only thing I wish was different is that the scope has 34 MIL's of adjustment but the turret only lets you use 23 of them so you are loosing around 1/3 of the built in adjustment.. All in All this scope is a homerun.

Just got this scope in and starting to put it through the paces. First impressions are absolutely amazing. Couple of high points...first is the turret design. Shooting for the military or competition, it is very easy to loose your place on the turret of a normal scope. Hundreds of hours of practice, but still, once in a while the distractions of fast paced activity simply cause you to loose your spot. This turret design is incredible. I don't know how I COULD lose my place if I tried. Its ingenious. The zero stop is handy, but the number designations through the turret window that actually shift with each revolution is brilliant. The clarity of the glass is as expected from a Steiner scope. Extremely clear. I am liking the SCR reticle a lot. Not as complex as something like an H59, however, it has just the right design to allow solid ranging and mil, without cluttering a field of view. I think this an extremely solid mix and balance. Certainly lightyears ahead of my military issued Leupold mil dots. Clicks are solid, scope feels like a tank. Just for full disclosure and to not sound overly "fan" enthusiastic. The tradeoff for a scope that feels as if it is built like a tank, is that it does feel a little heavy. I'm quite happy with that tradeoff as its not overly heavy, just solid. Top recommendation.

This T5Xi 3-15x50 was purchased for a precision gas gun build. I already have the T5Xi 5-25x50 on my bolt rifle and have been very happy with it. The build quality on these scopes is on par with optics that are twice the money. They have all the features I want and nothing I don't want.

I haven't had much field time with the scope but so far I like it. Turret clicks are positive and tactile. Glass is great at first glance and I really like the SCR reticule. At first glance this scope is a total home run. Only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because I don't have a lot of time behind it.

I love the features on this scope. It's clearly been designed by competitive shooters and has all the bells and whistles that a LR competitor could want. I'm no great judge of glass, but I'd rate this as being at least as good as my Nightforce NSX. The turret design is especially nice. I love the feel of the clicks, and the numbers are easy to read, even to these 50 year old eyes. The only thing that occasionally trips me up is when I get a little glare on the windows with the numbers. It can make them hard to read, but a little reposition of the head fixes it. It feels extremely solidly built. I don't intend to beat it up to test durability, but it feels solid as a rock.I have two 5-25 scopes to buy for a project, and it's almost certain I'll buy from the T5Xi line again.

Having owned several Steiner scopes previously, as well as many of the top-teir competitors, I selected the T5Xi 3-15x50 for my new 6.5 Creedmore rifle. They are a perfect match and sub 1/2 MOA groups are the norm. The almost perfect;y clear glass, minimal parallax and first focal plane reticle all add up to the perfect scope for shots out to 800 meters and beyond.

I would rate this overall a 4.5 star. Everything on this optic is top notch with one small exception that prevented a 5-star review. The four daylight modes for the illuminated redical are not visible until half hour before sunset. I know it is a small thing however with Steiner's reputation I would have expected the daylight modes to be viewable in well... daylight.
