Steyr Pro Hunter .30-06 Springfield SS Black Rifle

Looking for an all weather hunting rifle. Something that was truly going to see weather, horses, ... Was willing to spend more but purchased this. Best parts: excellent trigger and is very accurate. Weakest part: its stock design looks ugly to most. But it fits me quite well. Seems to have slight more drop than a Sako 85 finnlight. Sako 85 points slightly skywards for me. FYI: newer stocks don't have the forearm flex of the older ones. The other things I did not initially like was the bolt handle (would be better with knurling). You get a very good action. Note: the action is rather enclosed. Keeps crap out but is difficult to cycle a single round though from the top. Safety on tang has some useful features. Need to have a careful look at this for yourself. Might be slightly heavier than others of similar configuration (a couple of ounces). Others have noted issues (bolt to scope clearance) with certain scope and mount configurations. I found no issues. However, the more I shot this the more I like it. I think this is an excellent buy.
