I viewed this directly at the Eurooptic store. I love the compact 12" length and clear glass at all zoom levels, but at full zoom the reticle was heavy-handed with a big meatball in the middle and a christmas tree with similarly big meatball dot "ornaments" that also obscure the target. That center meatball is great as a fast-acquisition red-dot at higher zoom levels but precision is sacrificed. This seems like a great MPVO for an AR. Short and stout with a good combination of fast target acquisition and distance shooting for large targets, but not really a precision bullseye paper-puncher.

I'll address the reticle first. It's great. I've spent a lot of time looking through this thing and it's like others have said, it's not ideal for long range precision work. But let's be fair. It wasn't made for that so those who don't like it probably just had the wrong impression of what this is. This is a multi purpose scope, that is almost as natural as an LPVO at close range but with a lot more capability. It can make long hits if that's what you need to do but it's awesome in the middle of it's zoom range too. That's kind of the theme- this does so many things well. I think this one is a long-term keeper. Eye box is very forgiving, glass is excellent, illumination is very bright. It's not fiber optic dot bright but I have a different scope for that kind of 1x performance.

Great price for a decent optic. Haven't tried it past 505 yards yet, but up to that range the glass is clear enough to hunt with. The turrets are crisp and clean, locking turret caps are a nice touch. I do not like the 1 MOA floating dot that is on the Mil reticle, if I had known that the dot was that big, I wouldn't have bought it. Not a very good precision reticle, but it should be suitable for a large frame AR.
