The CDI bottom metal is the easiest and most economical way to add a detachable magazine to the rifle. CDi bottom metal is very reliable and the company is great to work with. The heart of the system is the Remington 700 barreled action. EuroOptic has these available in .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor and are another incredible value by themselves. Above you can see what this simple combo can do with factory ammo – 3 factory loads were tested briefly and this was the best, however all (3) 5-shot groups from the 3 different loads were under 0.8” with the 140ELD being the best performer at a bit under 0.5". With performance like this at 100 yards, this means you can be quite effective at 1000 yards in the field.
