This is my second M9A3. I keep one as a nightstand gun and the other in my vehicle. They are a bit large and heavy for regular carry for my preference (a Glock 19 or Sig P365 serves that purpose depending how I'm dressed). They are great shooters because of their weight, smooth mechanics, and double-single action. They are easy for my wife, who doesn't shoot much, to manage. The recoil is pretty light. I really like the vertec grip, night sites, rail, threaded barrel upgrades. My first A3 is American-made and is all FDE. This Italian-made Black/FDE has something I didn't expect and I'm not sure I like: the frame FDE color is significantly lighter than the barrel, which is the traditional FDE. It is also lighter than the American version, which is the same true FDE color on barrel, slide, and frame. The "FDE" color of the Italian frame is almost gold. So now I'm trying to figure out if I like the tri-tone effect. That, and the fact these come with plastic guide rods keep my from giving this a perfect score.

Simply fantastic. You can sit around and shoot this all day at the range and not have sore hands at all. I also love this pistol since I carried a M9 in the Army so to me this is a upgraded version of my service pistol.
