Love this red dot, heck even the box it shipped in was by far the best I've seen lol. Kidding aside, the "shake awake" or motion activated feature is nice. For a home defense optic, it makes total sense, no worrying about turning it on under stress. The body seems solid, nice finish, uses a AA battery which is supposed to last 62,500 hours. All put together, can't beat it. Reminds me of a poor man's CompM4. Only down side it is kinda long and heavy. Also others have said the quick release mount is junk. I haven't had issues yet, but I will keep an eye on it. All-in-all, absolutely worth it, especially if it's on sale.

I bought this as an alternative to the CompM4. Overall, I like it, I like the 30mm objective, that's why I bought it, and the attractive price tag. Mine shipped with a 1/2" screw-nut low-mount, and a nominal absolute co-witness QD mount. it doesn't use a spacer like the CompM4. I replaced the Sig QD mount with a MI QD mount, so I ordered the Aimpoint 12192 spacer to get my abs co-witness. I think the Sig ARD has a coarser filter (bigger openings) than the AP version, but I won't find out if that makes a difference until the Catalina Wine Cooler. I don't expect the rubber retaining strap for the battery cap to last but oh well, it's part of the equation. I think the battery compartment on the Sig Romeo7 is tucked-in up higher than the CompM4s, so it doesn't interfere with my brass catcher. This is my 2nd one, so obviously, I'm satisfied with it. I also have three CompM4's for comparison.
