Athlon Talos BTR 4-14x44mm DD SF 30mm APLR2 FFP IR MIL Riflescope 215028

Had it for one day, so this is what I found without tracking test or sighting in. Didn't come with sunshade but they can be found for around $25 Nice and clear glass edge to edge. Turrets are firm, line up perfect, precise clicks, and not mushy. When your behind the scope there are no markings to let you know which way to turn for up/down or right/left, if you can't remember counterclockwise is up and right you have to look at the top of turret. Side parallax is close to what the markings are but that doesn't matter to me what is great is that I can get a clear image down to 25', has the right amount of resistance so it won't be moved by bumping but you can smoothly turn it. Magnification ring rotates smoothly with appropriate resistance, there is a knob that assist with getting a good grip on it, I might put a throw lever on it. Illumination knob a little hard to turn, might have an issue with bulky gloves on. Illumination can't be seen in daylight, overcast a little on brightest setting. 45 minutes after sundown I would have liked to be able to turn it down more than the minimum setting but it was evenly lit and sharp. Reticle is a little coarse and crowded with the .2 mil hash marks but because they alternate from side to side it makes the crosshair seem thicker than it is and in the low light of 45 minutes after sundown I could still make out the crosshair overlain on a whitetail at about 150 yards set at 14X with illumination off. The scope I was comparing it to I couldn't see the crosshair any more. The field of view is better than some, worse than others. Eyebox was tighter than my comparison scope but then again, better than some, worse than others. I believe it will make a good hunting scope close to long range or tactical.
