Bergara Premier Series HMR PRO 6.5 PRC Threaded Bbl 26" Rifle BPR2065PRC

This rifle is a beast. I have been a deer hunter all my life. The furthest I have ever shot was around 200 yards. I purchased this gun about 3 weeks ago, mounted and bore sighted a 3x12x56 meopta meostar with a mcwhorter reticle and took it to the local range. I was in a hurry because a phone call I received when I started to shoot, and could not take my time with sighting it in like a wanted but got it after 3 shots 3” high at 100 & .5” over. Left the range and a week later took it to the farm. Had a doe a 70 yards and neck shot it. The gun performed as I wanted. Came home and took it yesterday to a new range that I never visited. Range distance is 1000 yards. I fine tuned it to centered and 2” high at 100. Then took a shot at 200. Dead center. The range master asked me if I wanted to shoot further out. The range has permanent steel cutouts from 300 to 1000 yards some are coyote and hog silhouettes and others are swing plates. He fixed his spotting scope on the 300 plate. I hit it dead center. My reaction was Wow 😯 I never shot this distance before and it just helped my confidence. He said let’s try 400 but due to the cross wind put your vertical to the left edge of the 8” plate. I fired and hit the plate. I could believe it straight out the box and hit the target on the 1st shot at 400 yards. Then he says try 500. I said what the hell I'm here why not but thinking to myself I don’t think so. He explained where to hold and I let the round go. To my surprise I hit it on the first shot. UNBELIEVABLE!! I said I’m done lol that is far enough today, my confidence is up I have shot and hit 3 targets on the first shot at distances I never tried before. For a rifle to perform straight out of the box like this is way beyond my expectations. The action is smooth, trigger is really smooth and light from the factory effortless pull. The rifle feels a bit heavy but also well built and sturdy. This will not be my last Bergara.
