Description
The Cadex CDX-Tac rifle is a straight forward no-nonsense sniper rifle designed to meet the needs of both operators and precision competition shooters. Depending on the caliber, the CDX-Tac features one of Cadex’s the custom actions: the CDX-30 Guardian Action (short action calibers), the CDX-300 Freedom Action (.300 Win. Magnum), or the CDX-33 Patriot (.300 Norma Magnum, .338 Norma Magnum, or .338 Lapua Magnum). All three action types are CNC/wire EDM machined from 416 Stainless Steel and are cerakoted. The bolt utilizes 3 lugs, allows for a 60° bolt throw, and is fluted for weight reduction. Each CDX-Tac rifle is outfitted with a Bartlein straight taper match grade barrel that has been fluted for weight reduction and increased barrel cool down. Additionally the barrel of Cadex’s CDX-Tac is 5R Single Pointed rifled for unparalleled accuracy. The rifle features Cadex’s own DX2 Evo Two Stage trigger than can be easily converted to a one stage trigger based on the shooters preference. The CDX-Tac offers the same level of reliability and accuracy as the CDX-Lite rifle, but is more lightweight and cost effective.
The primary differences between the CDX-Tac and the CDX-Lite lies in the chassis design. The CDX-Tac uses Cadex’s Field Tactical Chassis that features a fixed skeletonized buttstock. The Field Tactical Chassis is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum billets, anodized, and then finished with a non-reflective paint. The buttstock of the CDX-Lite, despite being skeletonized allows for tool-less adjustments to the length of pull, cheek piece, and recoil pad height. The underside of the buttstock features a monopod rail for increased stability in non-ideal shooting scenarios. The chassis also features an over-the-action optics rail that is set to either 20 MOA (short action) or 30 MOA (long action). The oversized trigger guard ensures that the shooter can confidently manipulate the trigger while wearing gloves. The forend of the rifle is outfitted with M-Lok attachment points and pre-installed picatinny rails at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positons for the mounting of bipod and other mission critical accessories.
