These are a very light and high quality ring. Unfortunately I had to return these because the rail on my Browning BAR MK3 is on the high side of the tolerance scale. The design of this ring didn't allow me to mount them. The Vortex rings have the entire clamping mechanism indipendant allowing them to go over the opposite side without coming in contact with the rail. Wish I could have kept them. They are the lowest set on the market...
