Overall I'm pretty happy with it. The mount is quite solid and stays in either the up or side positions quite well, but can be moved with what seems like a reasonable amount of force (I don't have to struggle with it, but it doesn't seem like it would happen by accident). The glass is very clear. Mounting this behind an Aimpoint T2 and I didn't need to use any of the dot centering features, it was basically centered upon install. Adjusting the focus for my eyesight was fairly simple. In terms of eye relief I don't notice it being an issue. I have my Micro set up so that in the up position it goes over the rear iron sight with that iron sight in the folded position. I don't personally plan to use the irons and the magnifier at the same time. I don't find I have to change my cheek position much at all to be able to use the magnifier. I'll caveat this by saying I'm using this magnifier to gain additional magnification at longer distance shooting. For CQB distance I'm not generally using the magnifier. I have tried drills going from the low ready or high ready to on target at shorter distances and there is a bit of a learning curve, but it's not too bad.

Very clear optic. Mount quality is excellent, flip to side operation is solid with good detent for open and close.
Below is what I don't like. I still give it 5 stars, but looking to answer the question "how does this differ from the Eotech" which I am sure folks besides me want to know.
1. The optic is indeed compact. Once challenge for some may be eye relief. I personally run some flip-up-BUIS, then the magnifier, then my red dot/holographic. I have found that the shorter optic means I have to position my eye further forward. If you don't run BUIS, likely won't be an issue for you.
2. I don't like the "centering" operation. The optic has capped adjustments and you use the cap to turn the dials much like an Aimpoint T2 adjustment. The Eotech isn't capped and doesn't require a tool.
Overall, at ~40% cheaper than the Eotech, this is a solid option.

Paired with a Romeo 5, very nice alternative to an lpvo! RD is mounted at the front of the receiver, the micro 3x is mounted at T1, no need to push the RD back closer to the mag... Eye relief puts my nose about an inch and a half behind the castle nut. Glass is crystal clear, optic is very well made and robust as is the flip mount. Slight difference in absolute cowitness Heights, Vortex says 1.45", Sig says 1.41", a couple clicks of elevation and windage centered the RD perfectly! Really really like this combo for CQB.

Great magnifier, I found the eye relief to be fine for me even with it mounted a bit forward on the rail past a flipped down buis, crystal clear glass, excellent qd mount and swivel mechanism. It's the best magnifier in it's price range!

Eye relief is great, depending on where you mount it guy might want to flip the mount so the qd mount doesn't interfere with the charging handle. I might switch out to the 6x variant at some point. Clear glass, happy with my purchase.

I found it nearly unusable due to the very short eye relief, and having to position it too far forward due to the rear backup sight. Sure, you could run without BUIS, but then why bother with a flip to side??? And it still doesn't change the issue that your eye needs to be less than 2" from the front element, and still requires me to change my cheek weld just to use the magnifier. For $300, I expect a LOT more. I purchased TWO Bushnell 3x magifiers for the same price as ONE of these, and they have almost double the eye relief at ~3.75".
I was able to find a configuration on one of my PDWs where I can at least use this magnifier, but it's still less than ideal and not terribly comfortable to shoot with.
