I waited for the SA Pale Brown to come off backorder so long that i ended up changing my whole build around to a 300 Norma Mag on a LA receiver. I purchased this stock and absolutely love it. I was concerned about the amount of plastic, the two-point shroud mount and the folding stock all contributing to a "loose" feel, but this stock is extremely stout. I really like the long shroud that puts my bipod further forward.
No fitting at all was required for my Defiance Action (note that on the short action the rear tang clashed a bit with the plastic skin, but that would have easily been remedied with a small file).
Only comment I have is that the cheek riser is very tall, even in it's lowest settings. I run a 1.5" centerline scope mount and I still have the cheek riser set one notch above zero, so keep that in mind when looking at scope rings/mounts.
