I wish I could say Christensen arms knocked this one out of the park but unfortunately I can’t. The first thing that I noticed out of the box is the provided thread protector was the wrong size, they included a 1/2x28 but it’s actually 5/8x24 which even is mislabeled on eurooptics description. The next thing which is a huge miss and I first experienced it while hunting was is the gun would double feed every time when fully loaded, with three rounds in the mag well as soon as the bolt was opened the top two rounds would fly out sometimes both completely clearing other times not. Another thing also a huge miss was the fact the the rifle never could shoot MOA, this ended up being from a poor bedding job at the very least maybe a poor chambering job at the worst. The cerakote has worn off where the barrel was making contact with the stock at the end of the forearm during firing. Now after spending almost $1200 I would expect a little better quality than what I actually got and after repeated calls to Christensen and finally giving up with them I gave the rifle and a proof research barrel to a gunsmith who fixed the feeding issue with a new mag box and the accuracy issue with the new barrel and some stock inletting. After spending and additional 850$ on just gunsmithing and 700$ on a new barrel I should’ve just spent the money on either a Fierce Firearms or spent a little more on a custom rifle. I will not purchase another Christensen arms anything unless they make some serious changes with first their products and their customer service. The one good thing was is Eurooptic was awesome to deal with, so thank you for that.

This is my second Christensen Mesa rifle and it’s a great shooting rifle. When I am looking for a new rifle again it will be a Christensen rifle.

Christensen Mesa in a .28 Nosler shoots an extremely tight group at 100 yds. Beautiful fit and finish. I like the longer heavier barrel on the larger calibers.
