Weight can be finely tuned for both the first and second stage pulls, with over-travel and sear engagement adjustable as well. To ensure maximum versatility, the Hi-Speed National Match Trigger Set ships with three interchangeable spring sets – the Service Rifle, Match Rifle, and Designated Marksman Rifle – each of which have been optimized their specific use.
The Service Rifle Spring Set was developed for NRA High Power Service Rifle Competitions, and is an approved trigger for use in CMP sanctioned competitions including National Tropht, NTIT, and Excellence In Competition Matches. Service Rifle competitions require military-based rifles to meet certain criteria, one of which is a minimum trigger pull weight of 4.5 lbs. The Service Rifle Spring Set utilizes Geissele’s 5-Coil spring to ensure an optimal 4 lbs on the first stage, with a light break on the second stage. This configuration both meets regulations and promotes greater accuracy.
The Match Rifle Spring Set is intended for NRA High Power Rifle Competitions that involve highly modified AR15s. These highly customized AR platforms have very few restrictions and are custom built for extreme accuracy at long range. The Match Rifle Spring Set allows trigger pull weights to be finely adjusted to low levels for enhanced trigger control, and fast lock time greatly improves speed and accuracy. The Match Rifle Spring Set also features a full-power hammer spring delivers more kinetic energy into the firing pin for more consistent primer ignition.
The Designated Marksman Rifle Spring Set is designed for tactical, duty, and other applications where pull weight isn’t regulated. This makes the Designated Marksman Rifle Spring Set ideal for precision tactical shooting and squad Designated Marksmen, and the higher second stage helps with high-stress situations.
