Description
Developed at the request of military and law enforcement professionals, the SureFire XVL2-IRC Pistol and Carbine Light/Laser system provides the perfect solution for aiming at and illuminating targets in low-light environments. Thanks to the MaxVision Beam technology, the XVL2-IRC has a small profile and light weight, while simultaneously optimizing the 400 lumen beam for maximum illumination. The XVL2 also comes equipped with an IR light and laser. The IR light produces infrared illumination, completely invisible to the naked eye and greatly enhances the use of night vision devices. The IR laser provides an invisible laser beam and can be used in conjunction with the IR light, allowing for aiming and illuminating in complete darkness.

Customer Reviews
I researched options for a green laser combo flashlight and ended up purchasing the Surefire XVL2 IRC for a home defense pistol/carbine. To be honest, infrared was not my priority but given my desire for night vision in the future did, so I wanted the option for now. The cost of the XVL2 was outweighed by the quality of Surefire in my opinion, but I must admit the $1,300 list price is steep. Within my justification is always to take the necessary steps to eliminate as many potential failures as I can possibly manage when it comes down to family safety... So after mounting the XVL2 on my carbine pistol, it fit perfectly distance wise for both my son (lefthanded) and me (righthanded) to manipulate XVL2 function with our fore grip thumbs just under our Trijicon red dot. I did order the remote/constant on switch anticipating a length problem for being both right handed and left handed, but found we did not need the remote switch due to our barrel and hand-guard length and position of the XLV2 on the picatinny rail at the 12 o'clock position. I was able to manage zero for both red dot and green laser to 20 yards and very happy with this result at the range. Laser was easily bright enough to zero in the day light...and not having to worry about my zero incase of battery replacement was a positive as well. If you can manage the cost of this unit, I recommend it. Let me not forget to mention EuroOptic...I could not find the XLV2 anywhere but here and other outlying websites which I was at first unwilling or had the comfort to purchase. But I found several members of the forums I am a member of to post positive experiences with EuroOptic.com then having found the comfort of decision to purchase this first time from them. My experience was very good with purchase to shipping. I can recommend EuroOptic.com
