Let me start by saying this is my first high end scope ($1000+) and it is a fantastic optic. For the money, I think it would be very hard to beat. The glass is clear through the entire magnification range and the turrets track true. The illuminated reticle is fantastic and clean, plenty bright for any application I’ve found. The locking elevation turret is a great feature and it locks solidly, definitely won’t have to worry about bumping it on hunts or anything. The windage turret is capped which is great for my purposes. The windage turret seems to be less audible than the elevation, but it is plenty tactile and very precise, so no problem there. Especially since I just set it and hold for any windage adjustment.
Overall I couldn’t be happier with this optic and I would absolutely buy it again 100/100 times. I put this in vortex precision matched rings, all on a Leupold mark 4 20 moa base, and everything has held zero phenomenally.
Finally, for me the Vortex warranty was a huge consideration in buying. Knowing that my optic will always be covered really helped me feel ok buying this optic. I know other big brands have great optics, but I couldn’t justify the cost unless I knew the company would back their product 100%. To me, Vortex is the way to go.
Happy hunting

Tracked incredibly well, had my rifle sighted in with 2 shots. Zero stop is super easy to install and the reticle incredible. I have several razors and this is my favorite. The Gen 2 may be a little better from a sight picture and clarity perspective but it’s significantly heavier. This may be the best hunting scope I’ve used.

This review goes for the entire family of Vortex HD LHT scopes, because I've now purchased a variety of them for all of my rifles. Yup, I sold everything else. (Kudos on your insanely fast shipping, EuroOptic!) I've bought them in the 42mm and 50mm objectives, and in MOA and MRAD (at one point they were only available in MRAD, otherwise I'd have standardized on MOA, but I digress). Anyway, these scopes are LIGHT, BRIGHT and offer, honestly, much better optical quality than I'd have EVER expected at their price point. The zero-stop system that Vortex has put in these is idiot-proof... so much better than messing around with set screws that are too easy to over- or under-torque. Set your zero, pull the cap, drop in the ring, install the cap, DONE. They track very, very well. My range here in Wyoming goes out to 1125 yards, and first round impacts ain't no thang' with this scope mounted on a half-minute gun. First vs second focal plane for hunting can be debated and is largely personal preference, but after running these scopes for two seasons in the West, I prefer FFP, and love that these scopes offer it. All of the reticles in these scopes are perfect for what I need: a hunting reticle. They feature wind holds but not a busy Christmas tree like you may want in a competition scope. So I dial for elevation and hold for wind. I can say that between myself, my wife, and a friend of mine, there are three bull elk, seven deer and five pronghorn that could speak to the effectiveness of this scope at varying ranges. And a few prairie dogs. Don't get hung up on maximum magnification, if you're trying to decide between the 15x or the 22x. Both will serve you well and I'll say that I've never harvested at animal at 22x, even shooting out to 500 yards. We shoot the 15x at the 1125 yard steel all day long, though the 22x is a touch nicer for that specific purpose. Put this scope in a good set of rings and go enjoy your gun WITH CONFIDENCE like you haven't before. VALUE is what these scopes have in spades. One more note... if you're used to heavy scopes that make your rifle top-heavy, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how stable the same gun feels with a light scope. It won't be fighting you to tip from side to side.

Awesome scope, very crisp & clear optics. Lightweight. I love the reticle , especially the floating dot. Too bad they did not make the illumination daylight bright. If they had I would replace several of my other scopes with this scope.

This is my second razor LHT but will not be my last. Excellent feature set, great glass, and dead accurate tracking. I really like this reticle for a mixed bag big game hunting scope. Heavy enough to see in low light and precise enough for long range shots, one of my favorite reticles. I see another of these in my near future.

Great glass at a reasonable weight, very pleased with the product. Be aware that the reticle is pretty fine, and that you can lose the floating dot which floats out in the middle far more than most dots. The illumination helps, but I would prefer a slightly thicker dot.

Best tracking hunting scope I have found. Crystal clear and easy to use. I would recommend this scope to anyone

Really like the features and the reticle on this scope but the glass is not worthy of the razor name. Colors get all jacked up on high contrast areas. Still a good value if you can pick one up for around 800 bucks.
